Harrogate and Ripon Food Angels

Harrogate Food Angels was founded in 2012. The closure of the meals on wheels service left a real gap and we wanted to respond to local demand. Our team of dedicated volunteers now deliver over 100 homemade meals every day. Isolation and loneliness are extremely common for older people and our Food Angels provide much needed social interaction. They are trained to spot potential safety hazards and check on clients’ well-being. Any concerns can then be flagged up with family members or the relevant health professionals.
